Star Wars fans of all ages are invited to come along to Star Wars Day celebrations this year at Federation Square on Saturday 1st May. Join us for a free, fun-filled day of unmissable fan events, activities, photo opportunities, competitions, merchandise and more from the galaxy far, far away!

Melbourne’s May the Fourth Be with You Celebrations kick off on Saturday 1st May, 2021 at 9am and will conclude at 4pm. So bring a fellow fan, bring the family but most of all – Dress Up!
Star Wars Mega Marathon at Astor Theatre Melbourne
The Astor Theatre is thrilled to present a journey into a galaxy far, far away with The Skywalker Saga marathon. From 2pm on Saturday May 1st The Astor will be exclusively presenting all 9 films of The Skywalker Saga, including the first 6 films presented on rare 35mm film prints with DTS sound.
This once in a lifetime Star Wars event on The Astor SuperScreen will feature many surprises and treats for fans old and new and we hope the Force will be with them to last the distance as the marathon will run for 21 hours concluding just after lunch on Sunday May 2. The Astor Theatre will be running the saga in the Rinster Order (named after the fan who created the order) – this best preserves the Skywalker family secret!

30 years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren and the First Order. When a defector named Finn crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey, a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map.
