First Look at Kroma #2
Today, Skybound Entertainment released a first look at Kroma – Issue 2. The second issue of this series, Kroma is created by Lorenzo De Felici who handles the writing, art and coloring on this enture series.
After last issue’s shocking final page, Kroma ventures beyond the Pale City into a jungle ruled by gigantic beasts. However, one man lives among them, and he may hold the answers to Kroma’s mysterious past.
In addition to Felici handling the main cover and cover D, fans of this series will be able to pick up the variant cover B and C of superstar artist Jakub Rebelka (Origins, Judas). Me personally? Cover D with the black and white highlighting Felici’s killer linework is the one I’ll be adding to my collection.

First Impressions of Kroma #2
Lorenzo de Felici’s artwork is jaw droppingly-brilliant. His ability to take familiar cityscapes and flora – then push them to the absolute nth degree solidifies him as a superstar artist. The works in the first 6 pages of this comic is as fantasy as you’d expect but calling it just fantasy seems almost like an insult to what is being achieved here.
It’s hard to comprehend that what you’re looking at when gazing upon the final two splash pages in this first look has anything to do with the comic book genre. First and foremost, this is art. The fact that this is a comic book is mere coincidence.
