Negative Space announces Women’s Comic Book Writing Competition Semi-finalists

And we’re here to bring you up to speed on all things Negative Space

Negative Space, the organisation responsible for raising visibility of undiscovered comic book creators, has announced the Semi-finalists of the Women’s Comic Book Writing Competition.

Earlier today, President and Founder Nahuel Fanjul-Arguijo, told :

“We were very impressed with the quality of submissions this competition — there was so much talent on the page. It’s a true testament to the scripts that it made it through to the semifinals!

“Much like our Fall 2021 Competition, we saw many well-executed original serialized comics, and deep and engaging excerpts from graphic novels in a wide variety of genres. We couldn’t be more excited and inspired by our growing Negative Space community and the collection of female writers advancing to our next round.”

This competition is accomplishing the all-important Negative Space mission to open doors for underrepresented creators. Their is to continue to open these paths, to give creators the necessary tools to grow, and to support writers working hard to make it in wild west that is the Comic Book Industry.

Nahuel Fanjul-Arguijo added:

“We are so proud of the scripts we’ve read. Stay tuned, we will announce the finalists on April 27, and soon after that we will crown our Grand Prize Winner on May 4!”
