Demon Girl Anime
Demon girls in anime – love them, hate them, or even find yourself mildly terrified of them – they’re a prominent type of anime character. From literal demon girls, to demon lords, and even girls from hell itself – we have a list of 29 demon anime girls for everyone.
Nezuko – Demon Slayer
Everyone’s current favorite, adorable demon girl. While her older brother, Tanjiro, was away selling charcoal, their entire family was slaughtered by a demon – except for one survivor: Nezuko. Though she was no longer human, enough humanity remained in her that, despite starving and wounded, she didn’t kill her brother or the demon slayer that was going to behead her. Nezuko joins her brother after he becomes a member of the Demon Slayer Corps to fight demons and stop Muzan.
Milim Nava – That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime
Cute, pink haired girl – or over-powered demon lord? Trick question – she’s both. Milim Nava goes from dangerous enemy to an extremely useful ally. She’s spunky, cute, and a bit of a badass.

Setsuna – Yashahime: Princess Half Demon
Daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin from Inuyasha, and twin sister to Towa Higurashi, Setsuna is a half demon raised by demon slayers. She’s fierce, guarded, and even a little cold at times – taking after her father some in that area.
Towa – Yashahime: Princess Half Demon
We mentioned one twin, so we might as well talk about Towa too! Towa was raised by the Higurashi family after accidentally getting sent forward in time to present day Tokyo. She’s frequently in trouble for fighting and has to change schools often. But she has a good heart, despite her fighting spirit.
Zero Two – Darling in the Franxx
She isn’t technically a demon girl. But, for the sake of being sort of demon adjacent, we’ll let it slide. Zero Two is an elite parasite also known as “Partner Killer”, that’s used to going it alone. Due to her appearance – horns, for example – she has mostly kept to herself because she was often treated poorly for looking like a monster.
Himari – Omamori Himari
A cat demon, Himari is the female protagonist of the show. Her purpose is to follow an oath to protect the main male protagonist of the show, based on their ancestors. She has superhuman abilities, can transform into cat forms and use cat instincts, and is an expert with a sword.
Latina – If It’s For My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord
Adopted by an adventurer after her found her half dead in the forest, Latina is a young devil girl and the main character of the series. She’s pretty adorable and doesn’t give off much of a physical “demon” look.
Rem – Death Note
Shinigami totally count as a form of demon, right? Either way, the Death God Rem is one of my favorite characters in Death Note, and she’s highly underappreciated, in my opinion. She’s Misa’s Shinigami that grows to love her, so much so, she’s willing to risk her life for her.
Ai Enma – Hell Girl
What could qualify a character more to be considered a demon girl than being a vengeful spirit that catches the attention of the Master of Hell? And thus, she becomes Hell Girl, and serves the Master of Hell, making contracts with tormented people and sending their tormentors to hell.
Clara Valac – Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun
A little strange, a bit over-excited, and a bit outcast – Clara is loveable in her distinctly difficult to love nature. She’s very childish and innocent, and struggles to make friends.
Elsie – The World God Only Knows
One of the cutest demon girls on the list, Elsie is a new devil from New Hell. As an agent of the Runaway Spirit Squad, she’s tasked with capturing dangerous souls. She’s a positive, optimistic girl with a strong will.
Albedo – Overlord
Albedo is a succubus, which goes hand-in-hand with her incredible beauty. She has horns and black angel wings as well, and when in battle wears black armor. She’s in love with Ainz – to a someone concerning point.
Lucy – Elfen Lied
One of several personalities residing in one body, Lucy is murderous to the point of even wanting to commit genocide. She has short horns and is an offshoot of human. She’s vengeful and wants to take it out on humanity.
Kagura – InuYasha
Kagura was one of the first incarnations Naraku made. She’s a demon with wind sorceress powers and travels on a giant feather, doing Naraku’s bidding. As the series progresses, Kagura becomes more and more unhappy with her situation, and plots to break free from Naraku’s grasp.

Ram – Re:Zero
The older of the twins in Re:Zero, Ram is much more strong, serious, and indifferent, compared to her sister, Rem. She keeps her emotions withheld and is quite the opposite of her sister in many ways. They’re both oni, classifying them in the category of demon girls.
Rem – Re:Zero
Demon twins seem to be a popular theme. Younger sister to Ram, Rem is polite, quiet, and loyal. She falls for Subaru after he saves her, and she vows to stick with him no matter what.
Clare – Claymore
A Claymore – a half human, half Yoma hybrid, Clare is the main protagonist of the series. Being half Yoma, a creature that feeds on human flesh and blood, makes her just supernatural enough to qualify for the demon girl rank.
Yuko – The Demon Girl Next Door
A 15-year-old main protagonist of the series, Yuko just finds herself in a peculiar situation – she wakes up and realizes she has horns and a tail. The only way to break her curse? Defeat a magical girl for her blood, of course.
Touka – Tokyo Ghoul
Everyone’s favorite female ghoul, Touka is one of the main characters of Tokyo Ghoul. She’s a waitress at Anteiku, and one of the first ghouls to help Kaneki with his own transition into the world of being a ghoul.
Slan – Berserk
A manipulative sadomasochist, member of the God Hand, and all around embodiment of evil, Slan is one of the main antagonists of Berserk. She loves totally normal things, like drugs, blood orgies, and cannibalism.

Ebisu – Dorohedoro
Emotionally traumatized magic user, Ebisu wears a skull mask and specializes in reptilian magic. However, due to her ingestion of black powder since childhood, her magic doesn’t always work the way she wants, with side effects that can cause quite a few problems.
Moroha – Yashahime: Princess Half Demon
One of the main protagonists of the show, along with the previously mentioned Setsuna and Towa. Moroha is the daughter of InuYasha and Kagome, and not only has some half demon powers of her father, but also the archery and priestess abilities of her mother.
Hilda – Beelzebub
What better nanny to have than a demon, right? Hildegard, or Hilda, is the adoptive mother / wet nurse for baby Beelzebub IV, as well as the main female protagonist of the series. Aside from her interactions with Beel, Hilda is cold and manipulative.
Yura – InuYasha
Yura of the Hair is one of the first few demons we encounter in the show. While she doesn’t last long, she’s still a relatively formidable opponent for InuYasha and Kagome, using her hair similar to a spider using her web.
Mio – Testament of Sister New Devil
The half human daughter of the previous Demon Lord, she inherited her father’s power after his death. She was raised by two adoptive, demon parents as a human, and only after their deaths did she learn the truth behind her real parents.
Rias Gremory – High School DxD
A pure-blooded devil, as well as the main character, Rias is the heiress of the Gremory Clan. She’s known as the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess. She’s a compassionate character, but quick to anger and prone to violence at times.

Susamaru – Demon Slayer
We don’t get to see her for long, but she’s definitely one of the more memorable of the demon’s Muzan sends after Tanjiro. She’s ridiculously strong physically, and uses Temari as her weapons. She has a maniacal, fun personality, and was a challenge for Tanjiro to take on.
Ayame – InuYasha
A wolf demon, promised to Koga – the leader of his own Wolf Demon clan, Ayame isn’t a character we get much of outside of her love for Koga and determination to marry him, despite his fascination with Kagome.
Sunako – Shiki
The main antagonist of the anime, demon girl Sunako leads her followers to Sotoba to create a place for the shiki. She loves books and seems quite innocent at first. Though she is a shiki, she kills out of survival needs, rather than out of a desire to cause harm.
