Trim Season to Premiere at Overlook Festival
Premiering March 30th on the opening night of New Orleans’ Overlook Festival, Paper Street Pictures and director Ariel Vida are set to debut their full-length cannabis horror feature film, Trim Season.
Jobless and searching for direction, Trim Season follows a group of diverse twenty-somethings from Los Angeles as they head up the coast to make quick cash trimming marijuana on a secluded farm in Northern California. Cut off from the rest of the world, they soon realize that the estate is harboring darker secrets than any of them could imagine, as they race against time to escape the dense woods with their lives.
TRIM SEASON features a cast of fast-rising talent to watch, including Bethlehem Million (SICK), Alex Essoe (MIDNIGHT MASS), Bex Taylor-Klaus (THE KILLING), and Ally Ioannides (THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS), as well as Jane Badler (V). Juliette Kenn De Balinthazy, Ryan Donowho, Cory Hart, Marc Senter, and Paris Warner also star. The film is directed by Ariel Vida (VIDE NOIR), and written by Vida, David Blair (THE SIGHTING), Sean E. DeMott (AMERICAN SATAN), Cullen Poythress, and Megan Sutherland.
TRIM SEASON is produced by Paper Street Pictures, Execution Style Entertainment, MeJane, and Hlbrk Entertainment. Aaron B. Koontz (THE PALE DOOR, SCARE PACKAGE), Sean E. DeMott, Jane Badler, and Paul Holbrook serve as producers on the film, with Leal Naim (THE ENDLESS) and Jake Hearns executive producing. Cameron Burns (THE ARTIFICE GIRL) is included as a co-producer.
